OF TEACHING– NICK CONWAY (NICK CAMPBELL)
Nick began teaching for Future Faces Theatre School in 2001 at Hornchurch;
that year he appeared as Fagin in ‘Oliver!’ for Lutterworth
Future Faces, and Produced and appeared as Daddy Warbucks in ‘Annie!’
for the Chelmsford branch. Since then, he took over running 3 Essex branches
- Hornchurch, Benfleet and Chelmsford producing 12 shows so far.
Nick was a member of the National Youth Theatre (Manchester branch) for
five years before turning professional (and becoming Nick Conway for his
Equity card-There was a Campbell already!) in Colin Welland’s play
“Roll On Four O’Clock” which ran in the West End. Best
known for playing Billy Boswell in the long running BBC TV comedy series
‘Bread’, he had several leading roles in TV films and dramas
including ‘Keep on Running’, Alan Plater’s ‘Thank
You Mrs Clinkscales’, ‘Sharpe’, ‘When Saturday
Comes’, ‘Juliet Bravo’, ‘Bluebells’. Extensive
theatre work in West End, rep, fringe and touring includes; ‘An
Evening With Gary Lineker’, ’A Passionate Woman’, ’Billy
Liar’, ‘A Taste Of Honey’, ‘Taming Of The Shrew’
and ‘Don Juan’. Having spent his formative years with an excellent
youth theatre he knows that learning through performances can be great
fun and help build confidence in young people.
Musical Director - Daniel de Cruz
Dan
gained a BMus (Hons) and PGDip at Surrey University and Guildford School
of Acting.
He has taught across the country for the last 7 years. Dan has been MD
for FAME (London Palladium),Showcase (Criterion, London), Jesus Christ
Superstar, Joseph, Oliver, The Mikado, A Christmas Carol, Captain Noah,
The Evacuees and Sago The Clown. Dan has also directed The Bouncers (Wates
House), Berkoff’s EAST (Austin Pearce Theatre), A Midsummer Night’s
Dream , Sinderz, Greek and Romeo and Juliet.
Recent performances include parts in; The Far Pavilions, Time’s
Up (both Shaftesbury Theatre), The Pirates of Penzance (Yvonne Arnaud
Theatre), The Canterbury Tales, The Best Little… (both Electric
Theatre), Jose Vegas in FAME (London Palladium).
Dan has also featured in various recordings, including a Chart No.1!
Drama - Kim Barry
Kim is a very experienced actress and LAMDA teacher. She has appeared
on Television in Eastenders,
Waiting for God, The Bill, Noel's House Party. On Radio 4 she has played
roles in Dolly and Dustbin lids, Twist and Shout, Any Bloke, Billericay
Brian.
Extensive Theatre credits include parts in: Keep on Dancing, Same Time
Next Week, 84 Charring Cross Road, Ruffian on the Stair, Blue Angel, Viva
Espana (Award for Pick of The Fringe), Jack and The Beanstalk, Merchant
of Venice, Twelfth Night, Grease and Annie
Dance - Claire Blome
Claire has choreographed several major musicals for Future Faces and runs
her own Dance schools during the week.
